Liz Merrifield performs regularly with classical, contemporary and jazz ensembles. As a soloist, she has given recitals at Merkin Concert Hall and Lefrak Concert Hall in New York City, as well as Milton Court Concert Hall in London and the Jacqueline DuPre building in Oxford. As an orchestral musician, she has had the privilege of performing alongside members of the LSO under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle in London.  Other orchestral concerts have included performances at the Barbican Concert Hall with the Guildhall Symphony Orchestra, St. Luke's Concert Hall with the Fidelio Orchestra, Segei Ozwawa Hall with the Tanglewood Orchestra, and Lefrak Concert Hall with the ACSM orchestra. As an ensemble musician, she has performed in classical and contemporary groups at Carnegie Hall, Milton Court Concert Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, and Lefrak Concert Hall.

Liz began her studies at the age of four in New York at the North Shore Suzuki School, until the age of thirteen when she began traveling to Philadelphia weekly to study with Yayoi Numazawa of the Philadelphia Orchestra.  She went on to receive her Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance in New York City under the tutelage Daniel Phillips at the Aaron Copland School of Music. Liz has recently graduated with a Masters degree in Violin Performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, studying with Kryzstof Smietana.

Liz performs on a twentieth century violin made by the famed Philadelphia luthier, Helmuth Keller.
